Each lab ends with a concrete result that you build yourself and the checker confirms, cell by cell.

• Calculate each student's attendance rate at Northbridge College, flag persistent absence, and report the persistent-absence rate and the attendance rate per year group.
• Count the grades of four courses with one COUNTIFS grid, then calculate each course's enrolments and success rate and find the course that needs attention.
• Convert letter grades into grade points, weight them by credits and calculate each student's GPA, then count the students on the Dean's list.
• Track five entry cohorts through a three-year programme: year-on-year retention, progression into Year 3, completion, and a correctly weighted retention rate across cohorts.
• Fit a straight line from entry scores to final scores, predict every student's final score, and compare the average value added of three teaching groups.
• Compare students eligible for financial support with all other students: pass rates, average scores, the gap in percentage points and the rate ratio.
• Combine three warning signs into one weighted risk score, sort students into High, Medium and Low bands, count the high-risk students and highlight their rows.
• Build the leadership view for Northbridge's six departments: a correctly weighted college pass rate, each department against the target, the department that needs attention and a ranked bar chart.
