Terms of service
1. Scope
These terms apply to the use of tutorvo.com ("Tutorvo"), operated by Babala Özdemir, Füllinsdorf, Switzerland (see imprint). By creating an account you accept these terms.
2. The service
Tutorvo offers online courses with interactive spreadsheet labs, knowledge checks, final exams and certificates of completion. Each course is sold individually as a one-time purchase; there is no free content and no subscription.
3. Account
You need a valid email address and must keep your password confidential. An account is personal and may not be shared. You must be at least 16 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
4. Course purchases and payment
- Each course is sold individually as a one-time purchase at the price shown on the course page and the pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added where required. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
- A purchase gives you access to all lessons, labs, the final exam and the certificate of that course for as long as Tutorvo offers the course, including later updates to it. Access is personal and tied to your account.
- Payments on the website are processed by Stripe. 14-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied with a course, email hello@tutorvo.com within 14 days of buying it and we refund it in full via Stripe. The guarantee does not apply once a certificate for that course has been issued to you, or where there are signs of abuse. Purchases made in the App Store or Google Play are refunded under the rules of that store.
- Consumers in the EU/EEA: your access to the digital content starts immediately after payment at your express request; you acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal therefore ends once access has begun. Our 14-day money-back guarantee above applies regardless, and nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.
- Subscriptions purchased before 28 October 2026 continue under the terms that applied when they were purchased.
5. Certificates
A certificate confirms that the holder completed all lessons of a Tutorvo course and passed its final exam. It is not an official, state-recognised or professional qualification. The name on a certificate is taken from your profile when the certificate is issued; please enter your real name. We may revoke certificates obtained by cheating or with a false name.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass access restrictions, scrape or redistribute course content, automate the checking system, or disrupt the service. Course content is protected by copyright and is licensed to you for personal learning only.
7. No professional advice
Course content is educational. It is not accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. Examples use simplified, fictitious figures.
8. Availability and liability
We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. Mandatory consumer protection law remains unaffected.
9. Errors in the content
We create all content with great care. Nevertheless, errors can occur or information can become outdated, for example when laws, rules or figures change. If you notice an error, please report it to hello@tutorvo.com. We review every report and correct the content as quickly as possible. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for damages arising from incorrect, incomplete or outdated content; liability for intent and gross negligence remains reserved.
10. Changes
We may change these terms with reasonable notice by email or on the website. If you do not agree, you can stop using Tutorvo; courses you have bought remain available to you under the terms that applied when you bought them.
11. Law and venue
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction is Liestal, Switzerland, subject to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules.
