About this course
HR reports to management rely on a core set of metrics that must be calculated consistently. In seven labs you produce them from employee data. You count headcount and full-time equivalents including part-time staff, then calculate turnover and retention rates. Tenure and age bands are built with DATEDIF and COUNTIFS. Compensation analysis covers compa-ratio, salary bands and median pay, and a payroll lab moves from gross to net pay and total employer cost with illustrative rates. Recruiting data give time-to-hire, cost per hire and offer acceptance, and absence and overtime are tracked with the Bradford factor and overtime cost.
