About this course

Once an intruder is already on a network, a new set of techniques comes into play, and this course teaches them from the defender's chair in a lab you build yourself. You see why the local wire trusts a forged ARP reply, how an attacker reads credentials from unencrypted traffic, and how a spoofed DNS answer sends a victim to a fake page. You learn, as concepts rather than ready tools, why a reverse-shell callback slips past inbound firewalls, which Linux locations an attacker uses to persist, and how SSH port forwarding lets one host reach another behind it. A short history lesson explains WEP's collapse. Crucially, each attack is paired with its detection and its control — from switch-level ARP inspection and HTTPS to DNSSEC, segmentation and egress filtering. All practice stays inside systems you own.
