Each lab ends with a concrete result that you build yourself and the checker confirms, cell by cell.

• Turn four blocks of permanent beds into bed-metres, cropped area and gross area including paths, and pool the cropped share of the whole garden: the units every later plan is counted in.
• Turn rows per bed and in-row spacing into plants per bed, add a loss allowance to get the transplants to raise, round up to whole seed trays and total the propagation plan.
• Work back from the plants Lena needs to the seeds to sow, the grams of seed and the whole packets to buy, and total the season's seed bill.
• Schedule ten lettuce sowings every 14 days with date arithmetic, work out each harvest window, flag the sowings that finish before the first autumn frost and find the latest sowing date that still pays off.
• Spread each planting's yield over its harvest weeks, place it in ISO calendar weeks, add up the kilograms available in every week with SUMIFS and chart the harvest curve.
• Value a standard box at market prices, find how many boxes the week's harvest can fill (the scarcest item decides), and set the subscriber price per box and per season share.
• Compare eight crops by revenue per bed-metre and per labour hour, rank them with RANK.EQ and let a formula name the crop that pays best for Lena's time.
• Close Lena's season: net margin per month, the season margin as a share of revenue, revenue per bed-metre for the whole garden and a chart of the monthly net margin.
