Each lab ends with a concrete result that you build yourself and the checker confirms, cell by cell.

• Solve four classic percent word problems in the sheet: an increase followed by a decrease, two stacked discounts, growth over several years and "more than" versus "less than".
• Split an amount in a three-part ratio, change a ratio by adding people, find the quantities of a blend with alligation and dilute a solution.
• Solve two combined-work problems, a meeting-trains problem and a round-trip average speed, and see why the obvious averages are wrong.
• Solve four interest problems where the trap answer is one step away: amount versus interest, quarterly compounding, compound minus simple interest and the effective annual rate.
• Update an average when a value is added, combine two group averages, calculate a standard deviation and predict how it changes when every value is transformed.
• Count committees with a restriction and shelf arrangements with a block, and find an "at least one" probability and a probability without replacement.
• Solve a remainder problem with MOD, run Euclid's algorithm for the greatest common divisor, get the least common multiple from it and test a number for primality with a table of remainders.
• Read a quarterly revenue table and its chart and answer four multi-step questions: growth of the total, a share of the year, the largest percent increase and a compound projection.
