What you will be able to do

Each lab ends with a concrete result that you build yourself and the checker confirms, cell by cell.

• Turn last-login dates into days since login and an Active/Inactive status, count the active seats and measure the real utilisation of a licence pool.
• Price every tool's annual cost and its unused seats, find the share of spend wasted on shelfware and the saving from cutting each pool to the active users plus a buffer.
• Decide from feature usage which users need the premium tier, price the current and the right-sized licence mix, and count the downgrades.
• Calculate the annual-plan discount and saving for stable tools, then test whether an annual plan still wins for a tool whose seat need swings through the year.
• Project the seats each tool will need at renewal, find the seats above contract, price the true-up bill and build next year's budget with the vendor's price uplift.
• Compute each contract's renewal date with EDATE, the last day to give notice, the days left from the report date and an Act now / OK / Missed status.
• Price three pairs of overlapping tools, count the users after consolidation without double counting, and work out the year-1 saving after migration costs and the payback in months.
• Total each department's direct SaaS spend with SUMIFS, allocate the shared company-wide tools by headcount, compute spend per employee and chart it.
