About this course

Learn how researchers surface previously-unknown memory-safety bugs by feeding malformed input to code that parses it. You work entirely on your own machine and emulator against libraries you compiled yourself. Starting from the idea of a fuzz target, you write a harness, build it with the fuzzer and address sanitizers, and watch a planted bug crash within seconds. You then pick realistic targets that handle untrusted data, grow good seed corpora, and use coverage to see whether the fuzzer is exploring new code. Later lessons reach Android Binder and system services, where impact is higher, and close with turning a raw crash into a minimized, triaged report you could responsibly disclose. Challenges, solutions and quizzes run throughout.
