About this course

Native code reached through JNI is where many serious Android bugs hide, and this course teaches the memory-safety side of it step by step. You get a crash-course in ARM64 so you can read registers and the calling convention, then study how buffer overflows, integer overflows and use-after-free appear in C and C++. Instead of attacking anything, you compile tiny demo programs yourself and watch AddressSanitizer label the fault, then learn what each crash signal means for severity. A full set of mitigations is explained, from NX, PIE and ASLR to stack canaries, RELRO, SELinux, the sandbox and control-flow integrity, so you know which defences to enable and why. You also fuzz your own libraries with AFL++. Work stays on your own device and code, for lawful testing. Quizzes and an exam earn the Tutorvo certificate.
