What you'll build
What you will be able to do
Each lab ends with a concrete result that you build yourself and the checker confirms, cell by cell.
- Look up atomic weights with XLOOKUP, build the molar mass of glucose row by row, then get calcium nitrate's molar mass in one SUMPRODUCT.
- Convert between mass, amount of substance and number of particles for water, table salt and carbon dioxide.
- Find the mass percent of each element in calcium carbonate, then work out the empirical formula of ascorbic acid from a lab analysis.
- For N₂ + 3 H₂ → 2 NH₃ you convert both reactant masses to moles, find the limiting reagent and the theoretical yield of ammonia.
- For five batches of limestone decomposition (CaCO₃ → CaO + CO₂) you calculate the theoretical yield, the percent yield, the overall yield and the feed needed for a target.
- Calculate the molarity of a sodium hydroxide stock solution and plan four dilutions with C₁V₁ = C₂V₂.
- Convert pressure, volume and temperature of four gas samples into atm, L and K and calculate the amount of gas with n = PV / (RT).
- Calculate pH and pOH of strong acids and bases with LOG10, find an acid's concentration from a titration endpoint and chart the titration curve.
About this course
Chemistry problems become manageable once you can set them up as clear calculation steps. That is what this course trains. You compute molar mass from a formula with a lookup table and convert between moles, grams and particles with Avogadro's constant. Percent composition leads to the empirical formula, and stoichiometry labs identify the limiting reagent. You calculate theoretical, actual and percent yield, prepare solutions with molarity and the dilution equation, and apply the ideal gas law with careful unit conversions. The last lab covers pH and pOH with logarithms and finds a titration endpoint. Ideal for high school and first-year university students, lab assistants and teachers.

Questions about this course
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay $9.99 once for this course. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added where required.
What exactly do I get?
All lessons and labs of this course, the final exam and the certificate, including later updates to the course, for as long as Tutorvo offers it. Access is personal and tied to your account.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you are not satisfied, email hello@tutorvo.com within 14 days of buying and we refund the course in full via Stripe. The guarantee does not apply once a certificate for the course has been issued to you, or where there are signs of abuse.
When can I start?
Right after payment. Access starts immediately at your request; for consumers in the EU/EEA the statutory right of withdrawal therefore ends once access has begun, while our 14-day money-back guarantee applies regardless.
Do I need Excel or other software?
No. The labs run in a spreadsheet inside your browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. Function names and syntax follow Excel.
Is the certificate an official qualification?
No. It confirms that you completed all lessons of the course and passed its final exam. It is not an official, state-recognised or professional qualification. The name is taken from your profile when the certificate is issued.
