Each lab ends with a concrete result that you build yourself and the checker confirms, cell by cell.

• Turn a month of patient days into average daily census, occupancy and average length of stay per unit, and measure how long a bed stays empty between patients.
• Project 2028 admissions for four service lines, turn them into patient days and the beds needed at a target occupancy, and find where beds are missing.
• Measure door-to-doctor times, the left-without-being-seen rate and the share of patients who left within 4 hours from a patient log, and chart arrivals against waiting times by hour.
• Label four weeks of daily admissions and discharges by weekday, average them per weekday, follow the census through a typical week and chart the imbalance.
• Turn patient-to-nurse ratios into RNs per shift, calculate nursing hours per patient day (HPPD) for six units and translate the gap to target into full-time staff.
• Turn wheels-in and wheels-out times of one OR day into case minutes and turnover times, and measure how well the surgical block was used.
• Flag readmissions within 30 days from admission and discharge dates, calculate the readmission rate and the case mix index, and adjust the length of stay for case mix.
• Allocate the hospital's overhead to four service lines by patient days, calculate cost per case and cost per patient day, and adjust the cost per case for case mix.
