• Calculate when each mandatory certificate expires with EDATE, how many days are left on the report date and a red/amber/green status with IFS, then colour the expired ones.
• Flag each enrolment as completed on time or not, calculate the on-time completion rate per team, count the overdue learners and let FILTER list them by name.
• Turn a year of training records into hours per FTE and cost per completion, total the spend per quarter with SUMIFS and compare it with the budget as a variance percentage.

• Add the hidden cost of learners' time to a workshop's budget, put a money value on the minutes saved and the incidents avoided, then calculate ROI and the payback period in months.
• Rank eight candidate programmes by skill-gap points closed per 1,000 spent, add up their costs in rank order and fund the best ones until the budget cap is reached.
