• Turn opening hours into minutes, work out how many games each room can host per day from its game length and reset time, add up the venue's daily slots and find the last start time of a room.
• Count one room's bookings by weekday and time band with COUNTIFS, compare them with the slots on offer, and work out the occupancy of the week, the evening occupancy and the revenue per available slot.
• Look up the price per person for each group size with XLOOKUP, apply a minimum charge per booking with MAX, add up a month of revenue with SUMPRODUCT and work out the average revenue per player.
• Turn the number of rooms running in each hour into the game masters needed with ROUNDUP, add up the game-master hours of a busy day, and work out the staff cost per game and as a share of the booking value.
• Compare the no-show rate before and after a deposit rule with SUMIFS, turn the difference into revenue protected per month and work out how much money the kept deposits bring in.
• Measure how often each add-on is sold with a booking, work out its margin, add up the add-on profit per booking with SUMPRODUCT and flag the add-on whose margin is below target.
• Turn a year of bookings into a seasonal index, compare the marketing spend per booking in a quiet and a busy month, plan the game-master hours of the peak month and chart the year.
• Turn the expected bookings of a new room into yearly cash flows, follow the cumulative cash flow to see when the build cost is paid back, discount the five years into an NPV and chart the payback.
